More from the archives...

Still going through some old client sessions.  I just loved this mix, all from one family.  A Newfoundland, a Mastiff, a Chihuahua mix and Sweet Pea who I believe is a Lhasa Apso.  What a great outing.  What a great group of pups and the personalities were so varied.  I had a lot of fun with this group of four.

February 24, 2011

It is absolutely freezing outside.  Not literally, but it is COLD.  The weather service is calling for snow at or near sea level.  The last time that happened was in 1976.  Gromit and I have already gone out for a couple of field loops.  I am not feeling well, so it wasn't going to be much more than that.  I don't know if Gromit is bothered too much by it all.  He seems to like the warmth of the house and curling up on his favorite chair.

February 22, 2011 - What do dogs think?

What do dogs think?  What is my dog thinking? I mean really.  It's barely 6:30 am and I am being stared at...willed if you may, by two large amber/brown eyes at my sleeping eye level.  What is he thinking?  "if I stare long enough, she will see me through those lids covering her eyes."  or maybe..."Open, Open, Open..."  I am leaning toward the later.   I giggle when I think about his mind churning while he stands patiently waiting, waiting for just one eye to open.  Oh boy, when it does, his whole body goes to wiggling and I think he completely forgets why he was standing there in the first place...

February 21, 2011

Ahhhh, Home Sweet Home!  We had a wonderful time visiting our friends up in the snow, but everyone knows what I am talking about when I say...Ahhhh, Home Sweet Home!

It was Gromit's first real snow and he was really not sure what the stuff was at first.  Pretty typical of a dog that has never seen it before.  That did not last long though.  I had him chasing and running and trying so hard to find the snowball that I had just thrown in the snow where it fell.  He ran and ran and ran and stuffed his face in the snow.  What a great experience and what great fun.  Before long, Gromit found that trying to catch the snowballs, well, that was the best game ever.  I had such a hard time focusing on him - I was laughing soooo hard.  The faces he made were just hysterical.  One of my all time favorite faces was the top photo here.  Another favorite is the one of him running...it is amazing what his lips do....

Fun was had by all!  Gromit is sound asleep as he is exhausted, I am heading for the hot tub as soon as I hit the publish button!

Diggin' into the archives...

I've been going through my old files and reminiscing about some of my furry friends that I have met over the years.  It warms my heart to see their smiling faces (yes dog do smile)!

Meet Haley, a beautiful white Boxer girl.  The sweetest eyes, picky about treats but I think I found here favorites.

Here's Bee.  What a cutie she is.  A super cute super sweet little black Frenchie (French Bulldog).

I will post some more over the next few days.

New Update...

I have just recently merged Gromit's "Life of a Boxer Named Gromit" to my Diane K. Costello Photography blog.  I am going to try very hard to keep this one updated with all the new currents.  Please check in and stay in touch.  Oh, and if you like what you see, pass it on to your friends.  Thanks!!!

The day before Valentine's Day. Gromit and I have a surprise for Timmy. Nothing big, but we have both been working very hard on it.

What a fun surprise for Dad!

Week 6 / 52

What a great project. Although I was planing on doing most of my work with Gromit in studio, I just couldn't help the past couple of weeks as the weather here has been unseasonably warm and sunny and well, just wonderful!
