It's so good to be home...

It was a rather short trip, I flew out of SFO on Thursday, arrived in MPLS at 11:30pm and flew back to SFO on Tuesday.  The main reason for heading out to Minnesota was my Grandma's 95th birthday.   The family put together a birthday part for her and a huge number of family and friends attended.  It was so great to see my Grandma for her birthday, you see she and I (and her daughter Ellouise) share the same birth day.  It took Grandma by surprise to see me standing there, right in front of her.  The hugs and kisses that followed were wonderful.

On the other hand, the weather we had to endure driving 4 hours there and 3 1/2 hours back was aweful at best.  Torrential downpours, lightning followed by thunder, tornadoes...really missed California.

It was middle of the afternoon and almost dark outside.  We all made it home ok, I am so glad I wasn't driving!

Every Doggie Loves Pop Chips

A friend of mine had an idea and asked me if we could do this...I said sure!  So, here is the outcome.

Ride For Life 2011 10th Annual Charity Event for the Ronald McDonald House

What a great weekend!  We were up in Pi Pi Valley at a place called Sopiago Springs Resort for the 10th Annual Ride For Life Charity Event for the Ronald McDonald House.  Sopiago Springs Resort is a place designed for dirt bikes, quads and other offroad vehicles (no autos) and camping.  We were invited to go by our friends Steve and Kay.  We packed up the RV and away we went.   I can honestly say I've never done that before...it was kinda like riding in a boat.  Aside from all that, this was Gromit's first camping trip, and I got some pretty cool photo's of the riders on the dirt track.
