Today was just incredible!!!!  Was up early, took Gromit out to the Harbor to run...we met up with Guzzi and his mom so Gromit and Guzzi ran and wrestled and ran some more.  I needed that, Gromit needed that.  All of that was done and we were back home before 7:45.  Good thing too!  Had to leave the house and be at the harbor by 8:30 to check-in for our Whale Watching Tour!!!!  Thank you to Captain Guy of the New Gravy for an excellent adventure!!!!

I borrowed a 300mm f/4 lens from a friend of mine for an upcoming whale watching trip out of Half Moon Bay.  I don't typically shoot with anything more than a 70-200mm, so I thought this would be fun.  We took Gromit out into the field behind the house so I could "practice"...funny I kept trying to zoom the lens.  I had a great time.  This particular lens is really fast and was able to focus on Gromit running toward me.  Canon 7D, 300mm f/4, 1/1000 @ f/4.

I was playing with a few camera adjustments the other day.  Most of which affect fine focus.  So, today I decided to see if I made the adjustments correctly and to my liking, I think I did.  A close-up of Gromit was my test.  I love this face!

Ohhhh, I feel sooooo far behind!  Now I have a chance to catch up and just the other day I had the wonderful opportunity to meet this young man!

I can't wait to spend some time  photographing him as he grows up!  Such a handsome little (big) boy!

Dinner?

Yesterday was the first day in weeks, I mean weeks where the sky was gray and it was windy and cold outside.  So, Gromit and I stayed inside most of the day and he helped me mess with some lighting ideas.  He is such a good boy.

No, Gromit did not get this bone afterwards, he can't have these as they will make him sick.  The great part is, he really doesn't even know what it is.  He is actually looking at a treat on the plate just behind the bone.  Sneaky - I know!

We have been taking Gromit to the beach the past few evenings as it has been low tide with incredible sunsets.  This particular evening was stunning.

Oh my gosh, we had such a blast!  Sweetpea is one of the most adorable French Bulldogs one could ever meet.  She loves, I mean LOVES people and she really LOVES to dress up.  I have never seen a dog get so excited when you pull out one of her outfits.  Here are just a few from her Christmas 2011 Photo Session.
